Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5905R

This new complicated timepiece from Patek Philippe, the Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5905, is offered for the first time in a combination of a rose gold case and a blue dial. It retains the two classic complications: the annual calendar and a flyback chronograph.

The 42mm rose gold case is meticulously mirror-polished, with a thickness of 14.03mm. Three discreet correctors for the annual calendar are subtly integrated into the left side of the case band at 9 o’clock. The blue sunburst dial employs a sector design, imbued with symmetrical beauty. The hour markers, hands, calendar window frames, and the track’s outline all incorporate rose gold elements, harmonizing perfectly with the case.

Despite housing two complications, the dial layout remains clear and uncluttered. The date aperture is at 12 o’clock, with the day and month apertures positioned at 10 and 2 o’clock respectively. A 60-minute chronograph counter resides at 6 o’clock, featuring a day/night indicator in a circular window above the numeral ’30’. Notably, when the chronograph function is not activated, the central chronograph hand serves as a continuous seconds hand.

It is powered by the CH 28-520 QA 24H self-winding movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 55-hour power reserve. This movement features a vertical clutch and benefits from Patek Philippe’s patented annual calendar mechanism, which requires manual adjustment only once a year, at the end of February.

It is presented on a blue alligator leather strap. The official price is approximately 84,500 Euros.
