Hublot first introduced its football chronograph in 2014 for the FIFA World Cup, featuring a unique 45-minute + 15-minute bi-retrograde display designed specifically for football timing. This year, to celebrate its partnership with the Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club, Hublot has released this special limited-edition model.
The 45.5 mm case comes in titanium or King Gold, with the same dial layout as last year’s Unico Bi-Retrograde Chrono. The upper semicircle is marked with 0–60 minutes/seconds, with a yellow hand for the chronograph minutes and a red hand for chronograph seconds. The 45-minute mark is emphasized to clearly distinguish regulation time from extra time.
A button at 2 o’clock allows the wearer to select the current match phase, displayed in the digital window at 12 o’clock, indicating: first half, half-time, second half, and end of match.
Inside is the HUB1261 Unico movement, a bi-retrograde chronograph caliber based on Hublot’s in-house Unico architecture, enhanced with a dual-retrograde system and offering a 72-hour power reserve.
On the caseback, the “Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club” lion emblem is prominently engraved. The watch is paired with a black alligator strap lined with natural rubber and offers 100 m water resistance.
