RICHARD MILLE launched a new material version of the RM 72-01 flyback chronograph in 2021 – the “RM 72-01 Lifestyle Automatic Chronograph Ceramic“. Its special feature is the use of a white ATZ ceramic case, which highlights the unique layout design of the black-plated movement, making the visual effect even more striking. 
The RM 72-01 is RICHARD MILLE’s first flyback chronograph with a completely in-house developed movement. This new model officially upgrades the case to a hard and wear-resistant ceramic material. The white ATZ ceramic represents purity and toughness, perfectly complementing the rose gold of the case middle. The entire watch is only 11.68mm thick, providing excellent wearing comfort. 
The dial continues the distinctive asymmetric layout design – the 2 o’clock position features the orange-handed minute counter, the 5 o’clock position features the green-handed hour counter, and the 9 o’clock position features the blue-handed small seconds dial. The central chronograph seconds hand is highlighted in red. The combination of these various color elements brings a youthful and cutting-edge vibe to the watch. The 3 o’clock position on the dial indicates the crown state, and the 8 o’clock position conceals a vertically aligned double-digit date window. The semi-skeletonized dial reveals the inner workings of the movement. 
It is equipped with the Caliber CRMC1 movement, independently developed by RICHARD MILLE. Comprising 425 components, it has a frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 50 hours. This movement is only 6.05mm thick and features a patented “oscillating pinion double coupling mechanism”. The operation of the minute and hour gears is decoupled from the chronograph seconds gear, meaning the energy consumption of the chronograph is independent of the time display. No matter how the wearer uses the chronograph function, it does not affect the power reserve for the time display. Paired with a white rubber strap, the official price is ≈ 265785 €.
