RICHARD MILLE RM 27-04 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand’s collaboration with tennis star Rafael Nadal. This ultra-light tourbillon watch weighs only 30 g including the strap, breaking the limits of lightweight professional sports watches.
TitaCarb Material and Case Design
The barrel-shaped case uses the new TitaCarb material, a high-performance polyamide containing 38.5% carbon fiber with tensile strength up to 370 MPa. Nadal’s nickname “RAFA” is engraved on the side of the case.
Innovative Tennis Racket Dial
Instead of a traditional dial, the RM 27-04 features a steel cable grid mimicking a tennis racket. A 0.27 mm steel cable is woven inside the case, with a titanium hook securing the movement. This design is extremely lightweight yet withstands up to 12,000 g acceleration.
Strap, Edition, and Pricing
Paired with a sky blue fabric strap and an orange crown, the watch is limited to 50 pieces. Official price is 952,000 CHF. Rafael Nadal will wear the RM 27-04 at the 2020 French Open.
