RICHARD MILLE RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Skeleton Watch

RICHARD MILLE has unveiled its first major release of 2025—the RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat, marking the first ultra-thin case version in the RM 16 series. With a thickness of just 9.5mm, its skeletonized movement is inspired by Brutalist architecture, presenting a fresh and striking aesthetic.

The case embodies pure proportions and dynamic elegance, measuring 36mm × 45.65mm × 9.5mm, with an ergonomically curved caseback and strap for reduced volume and weight, ensuring superior comfort on the wrist.The case is available in two material options:

• Grade 5 titanium, micro-blasted, satin-brushed, and chamfer-polished, showcasing a bold metallic texture.
• Terracotta Quartz TPT®, a lightweight and highly durable red-earth quartz fiber, made from 45-micron silica filaments and colored resin compressed under 0.6 MPa pressure at 120°C, with a Creamy White Quartz TPT® mid-layer.

The open-worked dial reveals the intricate movement: a titanium baseplate with micro-blasted and grey electroplated finish, paired with black PVD-coated hand bridges. 67 precisely cut skeleton openings create exceptional transparency, forming a captivating geometric motif reminiscent of a labyrinth.

Inside beats the CRMA9 automatic ultra-thin movement, vibrating at 28,800 vph with a 50-hour power reserve. Measuring only 4.12mm thick, this movement was developed specifically for the RM 16-02 and is the brand’s 15th in-house calibre.

The titanium version comes with a beige rubber strap, while the Terracotta Quartz TPT® version is paired with a red-earth rubber strap. Official pricing has not yet been announced.
