Gübelin crafted this jewel in titanium, a choice that makes it exceptionally light while amplifying the color vibrancy of the wings. The wings are set with over 226 blue and violet sapphires; the left wing, coated in an iridescent purple titanium finish, blends seamlessly with the stones, while the right wing sparkles with six pear-shaped diamonds and a cabochon ruby accent, adding brilliance and vitality to the composition. 
The creation took over 515 hours to complete. Ingeniously, the ring features a concealed detachable mechanism, allowing it to transform into a brooch — a dual-wear design that symbolizes the butterfly’s metamorphosis and renewal.
