RICHARD MILLE RM 72-01 Lifestyle Flyback Chronograph Review
The RICHARD MILLE RM 72-01 Lifestyle Flyback Chronograph is the first flyback chronograph fully developed and manufactured in-house by Richard Mille. It houses the CRMC1 automatic movement, just 6.05 mm thick, featuring a revolutionary oscillating pinion clutch system for enhanced stability and efficiency.
The tonneau-shaped case in grade 5 titanium measures 38.40 × 47.34 × 11.68 mm with signature ergonomic curves. The surface alternates brushed, polished, and micro-blasted finishes. Chronograph pushers and crown feature black ceramic with rose gold accents.
The openworked dial displays an asymmetrical layout: minute counter at 2 o’clock, hour counter at 5 o’clock, running seconds at 9 o’clock, each in orange, green, and blue accents. The crown-function indicator is at 3 o’clock, and a vertical date display at 7 o’clock. The central chronograph seconds hand has a red tip.
Powered by the CRMC1 automatic movement at 28,800 vph with a 50-hour power reserve. Skeletonized movement uses grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges with micro-blasting, hand-polishing, and chamfering, visible through the sapphire caseback.
