Hermès Arceau Petite Lune Moonphase Watch

The design of Hermès’ Arceau Petite Lune moonphase watch is inspired by the moment when the moon obscures the sun during a solar eclipse. What makes this timepiece particularly unique is the eccentric setting of diamonds on both the case and the dial, resembling the corona of the sun revealed during an eclipse, sparking endless imagination about the celestial movements of Earth, Moon, and Sun. The 38mm stainless steel case is elegant and easy to wear, featuring the signature asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs of the Arceau collection, offering a smooth and comfortable visual effect. The upper-left bezel is set with 99 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the crown is also adorned with a single diamond. The blue gradient enamel dial features a deep blue center, with the moonphase window positioned at 11 o’clock. At the 2 o’clock position, 15 diamonds of gradually changing sizes are set, adding a touch of glamour. The hollowed-out hour and minute hands glide gracefully across the dial, and the absence of hour markers enhances the serene, night-sky effect of the dial. Powered by the H1837 automatic movement, the watch has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement’s base plate is satin-brushed and decorated with a “pearl” pattern, while the bridges and oscillating weight are adorned with Hermès’ signature “H” motif. The watch is paired with a deep blue alligator leather strap.
