The primary dial is crafted from the ancient Muonionalusta iron meteorite, showcasing its iconic Widmanstätten crystalline patterns, while the two moonphase disks incorporate genuine lunar meteorite fragments. This poetic pairing strengthens the bond between the Speedmaster and humanity’s fascination with the cosmos.

Refined Case Design for Modern Comfort

The stainless steel case has been redesigned for enhanced ergonomics. Its diameter has been reduced to 43mm, while thickness has been slimmed to 13.6mm, improving wrist comfort without compromising presence. The combination of polished and brushed surfaces accentuates OMEGA’s signature twisted lugs.

The blue ceramic bezel adds depth and visual contrast, featuring a white Grand Feu enamel tachymeter scale. Notably, it retains the traditional “Dot over 90” and “Diagonal to 70”, referencing iconic Speedmaster heritage.

Meteorite Dial and Functional Layout

The Muonionalusta meteorite dial is unique to each piece, thanks to its naturally formed metallic crystal structure. Subdials include a combined 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph at 3 o’clock and a small seconds with a date indicator at 9 o’clock. The 18K white gold hands and applied hour markers provide refined contrast, while the red-tipped seconds and date hands enhance legibility.

At 6 o’clock lies the captivating twin moonphase display. Both moon disks are carved from lunar meteorite and placed against a star-filled background that recreates the sky on July 20, 1969, the date of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. This detail serves as a direct tribute to the Speedmaster’s legacy as the first watch worn on the Moon.
