Hermès launched the new Cut Le temps suspendu watch during the Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 exhibition. This model continues Hermès’ iconic round-cushion case design and, for the first time, introduces the brand’s inaugural time-suspension complication — blending mechanical sophistication with minimalist aesthetics.

The 39mm rose gold case follows a geometric, modernist structure with bold shapes and clean lines. The bezel and dial are circular, while the case is a softened square, featuring polished, gem-cut facets on each side. This creates a harmonious interplay between curves and angles. The crown is positioned at 2 o’clock for a seamless profile and improved comfort for both left- and right-hand wearers.

The white dial uses a minimalist three-hand layout with baton hands. A distinctive Arabic numeral “0” appears at 10 o’clock, echoing the case’s symmetrical shape. The small-seconds counter at 4 o’clock encircles the inscription “Le temps suspendu,” adding an asymmetrical but visually balanced touch.

At 12 o’clock sits the “time-suspension” display zone. Pressing the button at 8 o’clock activates the complication, instantly sending the hour and minute hands to the 12 o’clock position. During this moment, time appears to pause — symbolizing a deliberate escape from the pressures of the everyday world.

The watch is powered by the H1912 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 50-hour power reserve. It can be paired with a rose-gold bracelet featuring a quick-release system or with colorful rubber straps for a more contemporary look.
