Gucci introduced this opulent and pure-styled diamond necklace in its 2023 “Hortus Deliciarum” High Jewelry collection. The designer utilizes white gold accented with diamonds to create bow and starburst motifs, while the body of the necklace features cascading diamond tassels, evoking imagery of shooting stars streaking across the sky or a waterfall in freefall.
The centerpiece of this creation features three pear-shaped and marquise-cut principal diamonds. An outer frame extends in a streamlined form reminiscent of ribbon bows, imparting a sense of lightness and movement. The clasp on the back of the necklace is also crafted in a bow shape, adorned with round diamonds on both the front and reverse sides, creating a cohesive visual style.
The collar is composed of intricately articulated links. Graduated round diamonds form a cascading, waterfall-like fringe. The inner side of the collar is set with 11 diamond eight-pointed stars as exquisite accents. Due to the extreme complexity of the setting and assembly, the entire piece required over 300 hours of craftsmanship to complete.
