Unveiled in 2022 as part of Boucheron’s “Carte Blanche, Ailleurs” High Jewelry Collection, the Bois Diamant brooch celebrates feminine strength through the lens of nature’s diverse elements. In this creation, the designer introduces natural Santos rosewood as a gemstone material, sculpting it into layered, blooming petals that radiate a subtle yet vital beauty.

Santos rosewood, known for its elegant grain and exceptional density, is meticulously carved to form petals that appear to unfurl organically. The designer carefully aligns the natural wood grain with the curvature of each petal, achieving a remarkably lifelike, harmonious effect.

At the heart of the flower, a titanium core supports a pavé of round diamonds, creating a luminous contrast with the warm tones of the rosewood. Delicate titanium filaments extend outward as slender stamens, each tipped with a diamond-set anther, adding a final touch of refined, poetic detail.
