This Lueurs d’Orage Ring is from Chaumet’s 2019 “Les Ciels de Chaumet” high jewelry collection, inspired by the unpredictable weather under a storm. The name of the ring means “storm” in French. The designers use colorful water drop-shaped gemstones to create a stunning whirlpool of jewels, symbolizing mankind’s poetic imagination of the sky.

The main stone in the center of the ring is an 8.72ct Imperial Topaz, cut in a teardrop shape with a bright orange tone. Considered the highest grade of topaz, this gemstone can appear in shades of yellow, pink, or orange-pink.

The main stone is surrounded by a swirling radiating pattern, mimicking clouds blown away by the wind. On the outer ring of the ring, various colored gemstones of different sizes can be seen, such as tanzanite, amethyst, colored sapphires, and diamonds. The natural transition from circular cuts to the water drop silhouette creates the dynamic effect of raindrops falling from high altitudes.
