This emerald jewelry suite is part of the “Chopard x Julia Roberts” High Jewelry collection launched in 2024. All primary stones are cut from a single 6,225-carat Zambian emerald rough named “Chopard Insofu”. Complemented by rubellites and turquoise accent stones, the collection creates an intoxicating symphony of colors.
Ring: Set with a total of 8.96 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut emeralds, 4.56 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut rubellites, and 3.87 carats of cabochon-cut turquoises.
Necklace: Adorned with 73.56 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut emeralds, 38.81 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut rubellites, and 13.93 carats of cabochon-cut turquoises.
Earrings: Featuring 10.3 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut emeralds, 10.57 carats of pear-shaped and oval-cut rubellites, 5.86 carats of cabochon-cut turquoises, accented with pink sapphires and round brilliant-cut diamonds.
The extraordinary “Chopard Insofu” emerald rough, weighing 6,225 carats, was discovered in 2010 at the Kagem gemstone mine in Zambia. The name “Insofu” translates to “elephant” in the local Bemba language, referring to the gem’s impressive size and shape reminiscent of an elephant’s trunk. To maximize the yield of high-quality cut emeralds, Chopard entrusted an Indian master emerald cutter with the delicate task of cutting the rough, with final polishing completed at the Chopard Geneva workshop.

The cocktail ring evokes a magnificently blossoming flower, centered with an oval-cut emerald as its stamen, surrounded by alternating rows of rubellites, turquoises, and emeralds that resemble unfolding petals, creating a striking color contrast.
The necklace combines clusters of rubellites, emeralds, and cabochon turquoises. A cascade of pear-shaped emeralds drapes from the bottom like trailing vines, drawing inspiration from Indian jewelry aesthetics.
The earrings feature rubellite clusters forming the studs, suspended with pear-shaped mounts set with pink sapphires. They are further embellished with scattered emeralds, rubellites, and turquoises, reminiscent of ornate decorations on a crystal chandelier.
