Alhambra series, continuing the iconic
“four-leaf clover” elements, symbolizing good meanings like luck, health, wealth, and love. The most unique feature of the new piece is the introduction of
blue agate material, first used in Alhambra in 1989, which presents a lake-like blue color with a transparent and light texture.
The “Alhambra” series was born in 1968, inspired by the brick wall patterns of the
Alhambra Palace in Spain. Van Cleef & Arpels reinterpreted these patterns as a “four-leaf clover” talisman. This series offers various versions, including diamond, mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, malachite, and others, while
blue agate is one of the rarest gemstone versions.
The Vintage Alhambra Bracelet consists of five “four-leaf clovers,” each made from
blue agate, individually cut to form rounded leaf shapes and rich blue hues. The outer ring of each “blue agate” is surrounded by two layers of handmade gold bead decorations, which not only highlight the main stone but also add flowing brilliance. This is one of the most representative design details of the “Alhambra” series.
The “four-leaf clovers” are connected by a simple gold short chain, which gently fits the wrist, making it perfect for daily wear.
