This bracelet is from Tiffany’s 2018 “Paper Flowers” Flower Rhyme series, inspired by a watercolor painting of “iris” from the Tiffany archives in 1881. The designer drew inspiration from “Paper Cutting Art,” creating nearly 20 delicately cut “paper petals” naturally riveted and matched with diamonds and tanzanites, showcasing the natural transition of petals from white to blue-violet.
Each “iris” flower consists of 3 platinum petals, specially designed to imitate the outline of petals cut from paper. The edges display the natural “flower cracks” found in real flowers. These 3 petals overlap and fit together through a rounded “nail decoration,” perfectly forming the “pistil” of the iris.
To add depth to the design, the designer alternately uses diamonds, tanzanites, and mirror-polished platinum to create the petals. Between the gaps of the “iris,” diamonds and tanzanites are dotted, resembling buds and crystal dewdrops, expressing unique natural vitality.
Flipping the bracelet over reveals the hollow inlaid base, allowing each gemstone to shine with its brightest luster. The adjacent links are connected through a hinge design to ensure that the bracelet fits naturally on the wrist.
