To capture the shimmering play of sunlight refracted through the ocean, Tiffany created the Scales bracelet, combining blue-hued gemstones with
yellow gold to evoke the iridescence of the sea.
The design uses a gradient of colors to illustrate the transition from the deep ocean to the clear shallows — moving from intense dark blue to crystalline white. At its center lies a 17.64-carat cushion-cut blue spinel, surrounded by sapphires that fade from deep to pale tones, with a final outer ring of colorless diamonds adding radiant brilliance.
The gemstones at each end are pear-shaped, inspired by the natural layering of fish scales. To echo this aquatic motif, the opposite side of the bracelet features an openwork gold design, incorporating a scale-like pattern that enhances both lightness and visual fluidity.
