The brooch is inspired by the legendary Welsh fairy, Morgan le Fay, from the 13th-century narrative poem “Vita Merlin” (Vita Merlini). The design elegantly captures the figure of the fairy holding a golden apple, symbolizing both beauty and mystery.

The brooch features a delicate fairy figure, crafted from 18k white gold, with a pear-shaped rose cut diamond face, ruby crown, and emerald skirt. The wings are made from white mother-of-pearl and diamond pavé, while the golden apple is made of rose gold, reflecting a bright, enchanted glow.

Designed by Van Cleef & Arpels, the brooch is crafted by the master jewelers at Place Vendôme. Through processes such as wax carving, molding, and gem setting, the piece showcases the fairy’s elegance, lightness, and fluid movement.
