This tanzanite brooch is from Mikimoto’s 2023 “Praise to the Sea” High Jewelry collection. The design draws inspiration from the Angaria delphinus sea snail, known for its beautiful spines. The outer shell is pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, while the inner shell is adorned with mysterious blue-violet gemstones. A large cabochon-cut tanzanite serves as the centerpiece, evoking the enigmatic mollusks hidden deep within the ocean.
Crafted in white gold, the spiny outer shell of the brooch is fully paved with diamonds.
