At the 2019 SIHH, RICHARD MILLE unveiled the new Bonbon Collection for women — a playful and colorful series that marked a refreshing departure from the brand’s typical high-tech aesthetic. Among the lineup, the RM 07-03 “Marshmallow” stands out as one of the most delightful creations. Its dial, composed of vibrant enamel segments arranged into a soft, pastel “marshmallow,” exudes warmth, charm, and youthful sweetness in every detail.
Based on the RM 07-03, this new piece departs completely from RICHARD MILLE’s usual mechanical exuberance. Instead of showcasing technical complexity, it evokes a simple, nostalgic joy — just looking at it recalls the soft, sweet texture of marshmallows, delivering a sensory delight that goes beyond sight alone.
The dial is crafted from six miniature enamel plaques, each representing a swirl of pastel-colored candy in light yellow, mint green, and lavender, symbolizing three different “flavors.” Every plaque is hand-painted by RICHARD MILLE’s artisans with a specially formulated enamel, then fired at 800°C to create a soft, velvety texture that makes the hard enamel appear almost pliant. The rounded tips of the central hands further echo the watch’s gentle, playful design language.
The front and back bezels are made of white and lavender ceramic, while the caseband is crafted in 18K rose gold. Hidden along the sides is another exquisite touch — “candies” set with green tsavorites, pink sapphires, and yellow citrines, harmonizing perfectly with the marshmallow motif of the dial.
Inside beats the CRMA2 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 50-hour power reserve.
