Hermès presents the Arceau Chorus Stellarum, a watch inspired by the silk scarf of the same name created by Japanese illustrator Daiske Nomura for Hermès. The watch features innovative craftsmanship such as gold carving, enamel, and pad printing, combined with complex movement mechanics to create a captivating and mysterious dial. The 41mm smooth white gold case features Arceau’s signature stirrup-shaped lugs, with a bezel set with 70 brilliant-cut rubies, creating a striking contrast of light and shadow between gold and diamonds. The dial is adorned with enamel, pad printing, and lacquer, and features a constellation pattern outlined with rhodium-plated stars. A Golden Eagle Skeleton Female Knight is featured on the dial, with a hand-painted rider and leaping horse. The horse’s mane and tail are meticulously detailed, while the exposed skeleton shows a strong, dynamic aesthetic. The bones’ intricate details are highlighted by a micro-painting process, focusing on three-dimensionality. By pressing the 9 o’clock button, the skeleton knight waves her walking stick and the horse dances, creating a lifelike scene.
