The designer uses titanium to sculpt the form of the bean pod, making the two adorable beans hidden inside the focal point:

One is an 81-carat cabochon-cut emerald, certified as of Colombian origin, possessing a translucent, vibrant green hue.

The other bean is inlaid with sparkling rose-cut diamonds to form a spherical shape.
The contrasting visual effects shimmer in mutual reflection, showcasing an artistic expression that marries substance with illusion.
The entire piece is set with over 5,000 colored gemstones, including yellow diamonds, demantoid garnets, tsavorites, alexandrites, and gray-blue sapphires. The pod’s stem and soft leaves display a vital green hue, while the wavy edges of the pod shimmer with golden-yellow tones, revealing the plant’s lush vitality through subtle color gradients.
To achieve the optimal three-dimensional curvature of the piece, jewelry artist Cindy Chao specifically drew inspiration from the mortise and tenon structure found in ancient Chinese architecture to cleverly join the pod and the beans. The fit of every connection point and angle was meticulously calculated, allowing the emerald and diamond sphere to appear as if they are lightly floating within the pod, expressing a delicate and lively sense of movement.
