This Artemisia Opal jewelry set comes from the Italian brand Faraone Mennella, featuring Australian black opals accentuated by white diamonds and green
diamonds to highlight their vivid play-of-color.
The necklace centers on five black opals of similar tones, each oval-cut and cabochon-polished, displaying green flashes reminiscent of the Northern Lights against a night sky. Each opal is framed by a diamond-set bezel, with a rounded silhouette and three-dimensional setting that mirrors the opals’ slightly domed surface.
To enhance the opals’ curved forms, designers incorporated ellipsoid-shaped accents between the stones, treated with black plating to create contrast with the white diamonds. Small green diamonds are subtly set to showcase understated fire, emphasizing the opals’ bright green color play.
The Artemisia opal earrings follow the same rounded design, featuring pear-shaped opals suspended at the bottom for a graceful drop.
This set is currently on display at Faraone Mennella’s Harrods boutique, with a price of £2.4 million.
