Cartier Tank Louis Cartier Watch Review
During the 2021 Watches & Wonders exhibition, Cartier introduced a modern interpretation of the Tank Louis Cartier, inspired by the brand’s 1980s creations. Bold color blocks highlight the pure geometric lines, paying tribute to Louis Cartier’s timeless design vision.
The watch maintains the Tank collection’s iconic rectangular case, reminiscent of a military tank’s treads. Crafted in polished 18k rose gold, the case measures 6.6 mm thick for refined comfort. The dial features Roman numerals, a railway-style minute track, and a sunburst finish, with silver-grey and blue tones adding depth and tactile contrast.
Powered by Cartier’s in-house Caliber 1917 MC manual-winding movement, just 2.9 mm thick with a 38-hour power reserve. Available with an elegant alligator leather strap, including a yellow-gold version with red dial. Retail price: ≈ €13,100.
