The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time created exclusively for the Only Watch 2013 charity auction is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Compared to the 2011 prototype, this special edition features a platinum case for the first time, and combines three traditional techniques on its dial: gold engraving, enamel, and gemstone setting. The milky-white enamel dial, in particular, was hand-crafted by renowned enamel artist Anita Porchet.
The Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time has long been one of the most complex world time watches. While most world time watches are limited to 24 time zones, Vacheron Constantin’s design includes 37 time zones, covering cities with offsets of half-hour or 15-minute differences from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Despite the technical complexity, the watch is user-friendly, with all adjustments made through the crown.
The center of the dial features a gold engraving of Monaco, with a translucent enamel overlay and a round-cut diamond marking Monaco’s location. The milky-white enamel dial paired with the platinum case exudes a subtle elegance, making this watch the perfect fit for the Only Watch auction.
