The design of the Tudor North Flag Polar Watch is inspired by engineer-style tool watches. The 40mm case is crafted from durable 316L stainless steel and features a screw-down crown, enhancing both water resistance and robustness. Its strong, clean lines evoke the early works of Gerald Genta, including the Royal Oak and Nautilus, but interpreted in a more restrained, functional style.
Dial & Legibility
The matte black dial of the Tudor North Flag Polar Watch recalls the layout of the Tudor Ranger II. The white hour markers and hands provide exceptional contrast, while yellow accents highlight the seconds hand, five-second intervals, and the power reserve indicator. Positioned at 9 o’clock, the power reserve indicator is perfectly balanced with the date window, ensuring practical readability even in extreme conditions.
Movement: Caliber MT5621
The Caliber MT5621 is Tudor’s first in-house movement, fully visible through a sapphire crystal exhibition case back. It incorporates a silicon hairspring balance positioned at 6 o’clock and features hacking seconds for precise time setting. With 28,800 vibrations per hour and 28 jewels, this COSC-certified movement delivers performance comparable to Rolex, maintaining accuracy of approximately ±2 seconds per day.
Power Reserve & Strap Options
One of the most impressive features of the Tudor North Flag Polar Watch is its extended 70-hour power reserve, significantly exceeding standard ETA-based calibers.
