Priced under €10,000, this watch is the first perpetual calendar from Montblanc with such a complicated feature at this price point, making it €5,000 cheaper than Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar.
The watch comes in 39mm with options of stainless steel or 18K rose gold. The design continues the highlights of Montblanc’s Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar series from this year, featuring sword-shaped hands paired with a radiating silver dial. We particularly appreciate the clean and sharp beveled bezel, which adds a refined touch and displays a higher level of polishing compared to typical rounded bezels.
The perpetual calendar display is designed for clarity and ease of reading, with the date at 3 o’clock, the moonphase at 6 o’clock, the day at 9 o’clock, and the month and leap year combined at 12 o’clock. The layout of the four display discs is compact, leaving more open space on the dial.
It is powered by the Caliber MB 29.15 movement, which runs accurately until the year 2100. If the watch hasn’t been worn for a long period, it can be easily adjusted via an embedded button on the side of the case.
The stainless steel version is priced at €10,000, and the 18K rose gold version at €16,900. For those looking for a grand complication at a more affordable price, this is a highly promising option.
