The original “Jaguar Quetzal” motif was created by British artist Alice Shirley, drawing inspiration from the Aztec civilization’s Jaguar Warriors. In the artwork, the jaguar curls up in peaceful repose, its tail raised elegantly while a magnificent feathered headdress adorns its head — the flowing plumes naturally extending down its back in graceful motion.
For this exceptional edition, Hermès collaborated with renowned Swiss enameler Anita Porchet, who crafted the dial on a white gold base using two meticulous handcraft techniques. First, cloisonné enamel was employed to outline the jaguar’s body, feathers, and distinctive markings with fine gold wires. Then, the miniature painting enamel technique was applied, layering delicate hand-painted pigments to achieve vivid contrasts and seamless tonal gradients. Each layer was individually fired multiple times at high temperatures to set the colors and create extraordinary depth and luminosity.

The 39.5 mm rose gold case features a diamond-set bezel with 66 brilliant-cut stones, framing the dial’s pure two-hand layout. Turning the watch over reveals the Hermès H1950 self-winding movement, featuring a micro-rotor and measuring only 2.6 mm thick. Beating at 21,600 vph, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters.
Paired with a deep blue alligator leather strap, this poetic timepiece is limited to only 6 pieces worldwide.
