The Blancpain Villeret Semainier 6637 is the brand’s first wristwatch to feature a week-of-the-year display. Around the outermost ring of the grand feu enamel dial, numerals 1–53 indicate the weeks of the year, providing a poetic reminder of time’s passage and a practical way to plan weekly activities. This design merges functionality with the classic aesthetics of the Villeret collection.
The detailed dial features Roman numeral hour markers, hollow leaf-shaped hands, and a curved blued-steel hand pointing to the current week. The day-of-the-week subdial sits at 9 o’clock, while the date display is at 12 o’clock. Users can estimate the month based on the week hand position relative to the 12-hour scale, as in the example reading Friday, May 31st, Week 21.
Adjustment is intuitive: the week indicator is set via a hidden corrector at 1 o’clock, the day-of-the-week via a corrector at 11 o’clock, and the date using the crown. The watch is powered by the in-house Caliber 3738G2 automatic movement with three series-coupled mainspring barrels, delivering an impressive 8-day power reserve. Wearing the watch once or twice a week is sufficient to keep it fully wound.
