The Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite marks a first in OMEGA’s history—it is the brand’s very first Speedmaster to incorporate two different types of meteorite. The main dial is crafted from the cosmic Muonionalusta iron meteorite, while the twin moonphase disks—representing the Northern and Southern Hemispheres—are inlaid with rare lunar meteorite slices. This poetic combination celebrates the Speedmaster’s enduring connection with humanity’s journey into space.

The newly designed stainless steel case has been refined for improved wearability, with the diameter reduced from 44.25mm to 43mm, and the thickness trimmed by 3.3mm to 13.6mm. The brushed and polished surfaces highlight the vertical lugs, while the blue ceramic bezel features a white Grand Feu enamel tachymeter scale, maintaining the classic “Dot over 90” and “Diagonal to 70” markings.

The dial, made from a slice of Muonionalusta meteorite discovered in Sweden, reveals a distinctive Widmanstätten pattern—a natural crystalline structure of nickel-iron that ensures each dial is truly unique. The subdials are arranged with a 12-hour and 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, and a small seconds with date display at 9 o’clock. The hands and applied hour markers are made of 18K white gold, while the red-tipped date and chronograph seconds hands enhance legibility.
At 6 o’clock, the twin moonphase display captures the viewer’s attention: both moon disks are made of genuine lunar meteorite and set against a starry sky background modeled after the night of July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon—a tribute to the Speedmaster’s iconic role in that historic event.

Powering the watch is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9914, a newly developed manual-winding movement certified by METAS for its precision, performance, and resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 60-hour power reserve.
The watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet and is priced at  EUR 18,800.
