The Malte Tourbillon Collection Excellence Platine in platinum is the latest addition to Vacheron Constantin’s Platinum Collection.
The case is made from 950 platinum, with dimensions of 38 x 48.24mm. The dial features 18K white gold Roman numerals and hour markers, with the hour and minute hands slightly offset in design. The strap is crafted from Mississippi alligator leather with saddle stitching, using 950 platinum thread, and is paired with a platinum folding clasp.
The tourbillon is located at 6 o’clock and completes one full rotation every 60 seconds. The tourbillon’s frame is inspired by the brand’s iconic Maltese Cross emblem, with many of the internal angles hand-polished, requiring 12 hours of finishing on the bridge alone. The watch is powered by the Caliber 2795, a manual-winding movement, shaped like a barrel, providing 45 hours of power reserve. Only 50 pieces have been released.
