The 41mm stainless steel case is finished with a combination of satin-brushing and polishing and maintains a 200-meter water resistance. The 24-hour GMT bezel insert changes from the classic blue/red “Pepsi” scheme to a black/brown color scheme—the brown half represents daytime, and the black half represents nighttime. The matte finish of the markings complements the gold knurling very well.
The black dial features a granular texture. You can see the iconic Black Bay design elements such as the “Snowflake” hour hand and triangular hour markers. The minute track and inscriptions are also in a gold tone, and the Super-LumiNova coating provides a vintage warm-toned glow. The date window at 3 o’clock is compact and understated. The tip of the central GMT hand also features the signature “Snowflake” square shape, used in conjunction with the 24-hour bezel to indicate a second time zone.
It is powered by the in-house Manufacture Calibre MT5652 automatic movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 70-hour power reserve. This movement is COSC certified and features an independent jumping local hour hand. When adjusting the local hour hand past midnight, the date changes automatically, simplifying the operation.
