Rolex Yacht-Master 42 RLX Titanium: Lightweight and Durable
At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023, Rolex unveiled the first Yacht-Master 42 crafted entirely from RLX titanium, the brand’s proprietary titanium alloy. This marks the debut of the Yacht-Master 42 in this ultra-light material, designed to offer superior comfort and performance on the wrist.
Crafted in RLX Titanium: Lighter and More Corrosion-Resistant
This is only the second Rolex watch ever made in titanium, with both the case and bracelet forged from RLX titanium. The result is a timepiece approximately 30% lighter than its steel counterpart. Beyond its reduced weight, titanium’s exceptional corrosion resistance makes it especially suitable for nautical activities.
Classic Design with Modern Innovation
While the material is new, the watch retains the classic Yacht-Master design codes—including the matte black Cerachrom bezel with raised numerals, black dial, Mercedes hands, and the Cyclops date magnifier at 3 o’clock. Bold white hour markers ensure excellent legibility in all lighting conditions.
Caliber 3235: Powering the Rolex Yacht-Master 42
Powering the watch is the Caliber 3235 self-winding movement, operating at 28,800 vph with a 70-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with an RLX titanium Oyster bracelet featuring brushed and polished finishes, and an Oysterlock folding safety clasp.
