The declutchable rotor mechanism, first introduced in the RM 030 (2011), was developed to automatically disengage the rotor once the mainspring is fully wound, thereby preventing overwinding and potential damage to the movement. In this new model, the system has been comprehensively re-engineered to achieve significantly higher winding efficiency. The large power-reserve indicator at 9 o’clock now provides a clear, intuitive view of the rotor’s status in real time.
The RM 30-01 Automatic is available in two case materials — Grade 5 titanium and 18K rose gold. The tonneau case retains RICHARD MILLE’s unmistakable identity, while a function selector pusher at 2 o’clock allows the wearer to switch the crown’s operating mode:

W for winding.The skeletonized dial features a minimalist, numeral-free layout, showcasing the brand’s technical purity. A large date aperture sits prominently at 4 o’clock, balancing the composition.
Powering the watch is the RMAR2 automatic skeletonized movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a 55-hour power reserve. The movement is crafted from Grade 5 titanium, with openworked bridges and baseplate creating a striking sense of depth. Visible through the sapphire crystal, the movement exhibits PVD coating, microblasted surfaces, hand-polished bevels, and intricate anglage finishing — hallmarks of RICHARD MILLE’s haute horlogerie craftsmanship.
The watch is fitted with a rubber strap and offers 50 meters of water resistance. The titanium version is priced at USD 208,000, while the rose gold version retails for USD 253,000.
