In 2022, OMEGA introduced the new-generation Speedmaster ’57 chronograph. Its most significant improvement is the incorporation of the new OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906 manual-winding movement, which is just 6.4mm thick. This has allowed the case thickness to be reduced by nearly 20% to 12.99mm. The case diameter also adopts a more vintage-inspired 40.5mm size, ensuring greater comfort for daily wear.
The design inspiration for the new model still stems from the 1957 Speedmaster predecessor, the “CK 2915” chronograph. You can find the most classic design elements: vertical lugs, a domed sapphire crystal, a stainless steel tachymeter bezel, broad-arrow hands, and the iconic “dot over 90” bezel marking – every detail is highly refined and evocative of its era.
The deep blue main dial is adorned with a sun-brushed finish, creating subtle and natural plays of light. The sharp “broad-arrow” hands, paired with rhodium-plated indexes coated with white Super-LumiNova, ensure excellent legibility.

9 o’clock: Small seconds sub-dial
Both sub-dials feature concentric circular grooves, emphasizing symmetrical balance, while the date window is discreetly positioned at 6 o’clock.
Powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9906 manual-winding movement, it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 60-hour power reserve. This new movement is Master Chronometer certified, providing superior magnetic resistance and precision. Its slim 6.4mm profile allows the finely decorated movement, with its Arabesque Geneva waves radiating from the balance wheel, to be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.
