This emerald and diamond necklace is part of Louis Vuitton’s 2024 high jewelry collection, “Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds”. Through the use of precious metals and intricate gemstone setting, it pays tribute to the brand’s heritage and 19th-century French weaving techniques. The entire piece took 4,276 hours to complete, making it one of the most complex creations in the collection.
The openwork necklace is crafted from intertwined platinum and gold, with subtle details incorporating V-shaped knots, kite-shaped motifs, and rope textures—drawn respectively from the brand’s initials, the classic Monogram pattern, and the ropes historically used in Louis Vuitton trunks.
At the front, four LV Monogram star-shaped diamonds totaling over 6 carats appear to float above the necklace, their brilliant sparkle highlighting a central Zambian emerald. This main emerald weighs 12.92 carats, is cut in an Asscher shape, and features perfect proportions, exceptional clarity, and a striking deep bluish-green hue, making it the most eye-catching emerald in the collection.
