Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin 1907 WG is an exclusive luxury watch combining artistry and precision. Since 2015, Jaeger-LeCoultre has collaborated with the Van Gogh Museum to create enamel micro-painted watches inspired by Van Gogh’s masterpieces. These include Reverso and Tourbillon editions that showcase exceptional craftsmanship and artistic design.
The Master Ultra Thin 1907 WG is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s first Van Gogh enamel dial watch released exclusively for China and the first ultra-thin model in this enamel series. Its exquisite design captures the essence of Van Gogh’s art.
The enamel miniature depicts Van Gogh’s 1888 oil painting “Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat”. Van Gogh had mastered the Pointillist technique, using short strokes at various angles to create a halo-like effect. The watch replicates this artistic style in miniature with extraordinary detail.
The self-portrait features vivid Parisian colors, including blue and orange backgrounds, red and green accents on the eyes and beard, and a grey hat. Translating these colors into enamel is a technical challenge. The left eye aligns precisely with the watch hands, giving the impression it follows the viewer.
The watch is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house Caliber 849 manual-winding movement. Its ultra-thin case measures only 4.05 mm, making it light and comfortable to wear. Limited to 18 pieces, the price is approximately €58,500.
