Chopard Red Carpet diamond quill brooch

Chopard introduced this brooch in its 2023 Red Carpet High Jewelry collection. Inspired by the season’s theme of “Literary Arts”, Creative Director Caroline Scheufele masterfully drew upon the medieval quill pen as her design element. Using titanium to outline the elegant contour of the feather, she set a diamond at the tip of the shaft, resembling the pen nib dipped in ink ready for writing.

This brooch is crafted from lightweight titanium. The fluid quill shaft is electroplated to achieve a gradient of deep and light blue hues, reminiscent of the color saturation when a pen draws up ink. The tip of the writing shaft is set with a brilliant-cut diamond, its dazzling fire paying homage to the power of literature.

The titanium feather exhibits a delicate and pliable appearance, its structure adorned with a multitude of round diamonds that create a sparkling, captivating radiance. The base of the feather features a “snow setting” technique, where diamonds are meticulously set to form a seamless surface, with a total diamond weight of 32.45 carats. This dazzling interplay of light evokes the moment a novelist experiences a sudden surge of inspiration, like a shimmering cascade of creative thought.
