Chanel Tweed Étoile Colored Gemstone Suite

This colored gemstone suite is from Chanel’s 2023 “Tweed de Chanel” High Jewelry collection, drawing inspiration from two iconic elements in Chanel’s heritage: “tweed fabric” and the “comet motif”. The designer skillfully uses blue-black toned gemstones to depict a deep night sky, where yellow sapphires shine like dazzling comets and diamond stars create a sparkling celestial panorama.

The collection features custom-cut onyx, lapis lazuli beads, faceted sapphires and brilliant diamonds arranged in vertical and horizontal patterns that recreate tweed’s distinctive texture. The openwork structure lends a light, fabric-like quality to the pieces. The highlight appears in the five-pointed star motifs set with yellow diamonds adorning the “fabric,” resembling bright stars twinkling against a tranquil night sky.
