This year, Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé décor Camélia brode is based on last year’s Coromandel enamel watch, marking the first time the brand has used needle painting techniques on the dial. The Maison Lesage embroidery artisans used fine silk threads to outline the camellia design, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.

Maison Lesage, founded in 1920 by Albert and Marie-Louise Lesage, quickly gained fame for their innovative techniques and use of new materials in fabric design. They attracted loyal clients such as Pierre Balmain, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Lacroix, and Yves Saint Laurent. The iconic YSL Van Gogh collection even featured the collaboration of Maison Lesage.

In 2002, Chanel acquired Maison Lesage, with Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s chief designer at the time, stating that the acquisition was to ensure the continuation of the 130-year-old embroidery workshop in an era of mass production and Chinese textiles. Despite the acquisition, Maison Lesage has maintained its independent operations, with this embroidered dial being a joint creation by Lesage’s artisans and Chanel’s designers.

The watch features an 18K white gold case with a 37.5mm diameter, and the bezel is set with 562 brilliant-cut diamonds. An additional 80 diamonds adorn the clasp, enhancing the sparkling beauty against the black dial and strap. The crown is set with a round carnelian gemstone.

This exquisite timepiece is limited to only 18 pieces.
