The Cartier Tank has always been one of the most iconic collections for men’s watches. From the Tank Normale in 1917 to this year’s Tank MC, the signature “tank-track” lugs, Roman numeral hour markers, and sword-shaped hands have made it instantly recognizable, no matter the material or movement.
This year’s Tank MC Skeleton is the first in the history of the Tank collection to feature an openwork design, making it particularly striking. The case and crown are made from palladium, a material similar to platinum but lighter and harder.
The designer has sculpted openwork Roman numerals on the dial, beautifully blending decoration and practicality. The blued steel sword hands create a perfect balance with the entire dial. From the front, you can observe the movement of the central gears, symbolizing continuous motion.
The watch is powered by Cartier’s in-house developed Calibre 9611, with each watch individually numbered, offering an impressive 72 hours of power reserve.
