The other ring is set with a carved green chrysoprase, a 0.14 ct octagonal-cut diamond, engraved onyx, and 276 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 1.13 ct.
These two cocktail rings are introduced in Cartier’s 2025 Tutti Frutti high jewellery collection, inspired by the brand’s iconic Tutti Frutti jewellery style. The designer cleverly uses gemstones carved in the forms of fruits — the marquise-amethyst and green chrysoprase — supported by petal-shaped gold mountings, giving the three-dimensional structure a lively rhythm.

In the 1910s, Cartier’s third-generation heir Jacques Cartier travelled to India to source gemstones and discovered that many local coloured stones were cut as leaves, flowers, and fruits. He brought these unique gems back to his Paris workshop and launched the Tutti Frutti style featuring carved coloured gemstones in jewellery.

In the new pieces: one ring features yellow gold paired with a carved amethyst centre-stone whose translucent purple hue gleams like a berry; the other centres on a carved green chrysoprase presenting a fresh green tone resembling a realistic fruit. At the top, golden bead-prongs hold a pyramid-shaped diamond like a natural fruit stem.

Beneath the stones, white-gold beads and diamonds shimmer, intensifying the vivid colour of the gems. The yellow-gold ring-mount is sculpted into three-dimensional petal-shaped forms, paying homage to the brand’s former designer Jeanne Toussaint, known for her use of bold gold structure. A highlight is the chrysoprase ring’s band, where the shank alternately features round diamonds and custom-cut onyx inserts, creating rich visual layering.
