Bvlgari has just unveiled the Serpenti Spiga collection, a fresh take on its iconic jewelry watches. This new series combines two classic design themes: the Serpenti (snake) and Spiga (wheat), and includes four stunning new timepieces. The most distinctive feature of this collection is the wheat-inspired link design on the bracelet, incorporating a mix of rose gold, stainless steel, and black and white ceramic elements, all enhanced with diamond accents. The varied materials create a sensuous, serpentine shape, offering a dynamic and modern twist to the classic snake motif. The Serpenti design draws inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman mythology. Since the 1940s, the Serpenti collection, symbolizing rebirth and transformation, has become a cornerstone of Bvlgari‘s offerings. The wheat motif, symbolizing fertility and prosperity, was often used in ancient Greece and Rome as a gift or adornment for newlyweds. The wheat design first appeared in Bvlgari’s jewelry watches in the 1990s. 
The new pieces continue the Serpenti collection’s signature 35mm case, with rounded lines that echo the shape of a snake’s head. The case sides are delicately set with diamonds, adding a refined touch. The dial comes in black and white lacquered finishes, with Roman numerals highlighting the watch’s elegant appeal. Notably, the crown is set with a faceted pink tourmaline, a distinctive feature that has appeared in other Bvlgari collections such as LVCEA and Bvlgari-Bvlgari and has become a hallmark of their ladies’ watches. 
Unlike the previous Tubogas-style bracelets in the Serpenti series, this collection introduces the dynamic wheat-link design, offering more movement and fluidity. Of particular interest are the two stainless steel versions, where the links are arranged in a seemingly random fashion, creating an edgy, carefree aesthetic.
