Boucheron presents two powerful creations from its 2024 “Carte Blanche, Or Bleu” High Jewellery collection, inspired by the stark beauty of Iceland’s black sand beaches, born from ancient volcanic eruptions. The designer boldly combines titanium, obsidian, and crystal to capture nature’s raw and fleeting intensity—frozen in time upon the hand.

Both rings are crafted in lightweight titanium, with sculptural forms reminiscent of the jagged cliffs along Iceland’s coastline. One side of each ring is set with brilliant-cut diamonds, symbolizing crashing waves, while the opposite side features a custom-cut gemstone—each expressing a different facet of nature’s contrasts.

One ring showcases a transparent rock crystal, highlighting the rugged texture and dimensional structure of the cliff-like surface.
The other features custom-cut obsidian, its deep black hue set against the sparkle of diamonds, evoking the striking interplay of light and darkness, like the boundless mystery of the night sky.

Each ring requires over 50 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to complete.
