This is Parmigiani’s first ultra-thin skeletonized timepiece, with a case thickness of only 7.2 mm.
The overall design remains based on the Tonda 1950 introduced in 2010, featuring a relatively neutral 39 mm white gold case. The openworked dial fully reveals the movement’s intricate mechanics, while the movement’s bridges are finished with a brushed texture, accentuating its technical and mechanical character.
The watch is equipped with the self-winding PF705 movement, which is derived from Vaucher’s VMF5300 caliber and has been skeletonized and finely adjusted by Parmigiani. Its most distinctive feature is the use of a micro-rotor to achieve the ultra-thin profile — the entire movement measures just 2.6 mm thick. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
