This year, Longines celebrates the 60th anniversary of its Flagship collection with the release of a highly vintage-inspired heritage reissue. The new model takes direct inspiration from an original Flagship vintage watch, featuring a smaller, classic case size, a restrained and elegant dial design, and a caseback engraved with the signature “flagship warship” medallion, faithfully recreated from the original.
The bezel is clean and refined, framing a silver, sandblasted dial with a slightly recessed outer ring that enhances the depth of the design and makes the rose gold applied hour markers appear more vivid and dimensional. The hour markers echo the shape of the dauphine hands, while the serif “Flagship” script adds a period-correct charm. The dial follows a traditional small seconds layout, with a wave-patterned subdial positioned at 6 o’clock.
Inside the 38.5mm case beats the Longines Caliber L609 automatic movement, based on the ETA 2895/2, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 42-hour power reserve.The watch is available in stainless steel, yellow gold, and rose gold. The stainless steel edition is limited to 1,957 pieces, while the yellow gold and rose gold versions are each limited to 60 pieces.
