The blue enamel version of the Chronomètre Royal 1907 was specially crafted by Vacheron Constantin for this year’s Kidz Horizon charity auction. Compared to the original model, the case is made of platinum instead of pink gold, and the dial is replaced with blue enamel in place of the original white enamel, giving the watch a more refined and stable appearance.
The movement remains the 2460SCC, known for its major advantage: the chronograph seconds hand device. This feature allows the wearer to pause the seconds hand for precise time-setting. In addition, the movement uses ceramic bearings in the rotor, eliminating the need for lubrication while ensuring long-term stability.
This watch comes with both the Geneva Seal and COSC certifications, signifying that it meets the highest Swiss watchmaking standards for craftsmanship and accuracy.
While the 2007 edition was limited to 100 pieces, the platinum blue enamel dial version made for this auction is a one-of-a-kind creation.
