The Tonda 1950 Squelette is Parmigiani’s first ultra-thin skeleton watch, with an incredibly slim case thickness of just 7.2mm. It is paired with a Hermès crocodile leather strap, adding a touch of luxury and craftsmanship.
The design continues to build on the Tonda 1950 launched in 2010, using a 39mm case that balances traditional elegance with contemporary minimalism. The completely skeletonized open dial showcases the intricate movement of the PF705 automatic winding movement, and the hands and markers retain the clean and strong design characteristic of the Tonda series.
The watch is powered by the PF705 movement, which is based on the Vaucher VMF5300 but has been skeletonized and adjusted for a slimmer profile. The standout feature of the movement is the use of a miniature oscillating weight to achieve ultra-thinness, with the entire movement only 2.6mm thick. It has a 21600 vph balance frequency and a 42-hour power reserve.
