During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, OMEGA unveiled the “Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition”, a special edition timepiece crafted from the brand’s exclusive Bronze Gold alloy and paired with a silver dial, symbolically paying tribute to the three Olympic medals—gold, silver, and bronze.
The new model features a 39mm case diameter and a slim 11.7mm thickness, drawing inspiration from OMEGA’s 1930s CK 859 heritage design—vintage yet elegantly refined. The case is made of OMEGA’s proprietary Bronze Gold, a noble alloy composed of gold (37.5%), silver, palladium, and other precious metals. This material offers superior corrosion resistance and a distinctively warm hue.
The 925 silver dial honors the Olympic silver medal, adorned with a central Paris hobnail pattern, while the outer minute track features a circular brushed finish for a refined play of light. The slender hands are crafted from Sedna™ 18K gold and coated with a Bronze Gold PVD finish. The OMEGA logo at 12 o’clock, as well as the numerals and indexes, are rendered in a vintage-inspired dark gray tone, with a small seconds subdial positioned at 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926, a manual-winding movement certified by METAS, operating at 25,200 vibrations per hour and offering a 72-hour power reserve via twin barrels. The movement features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring and Co-Axial escapement, ensuring anti-magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss. The caseback is engraved with the reference “BG859” and bears a relief of the Paris 2024 Olympic emblem at its center.
The watch is paired with a brown calfskin leather strap and is priced at €13,200.
