This pearl bracelet is a creation by Australian jeweler Autore, inspired
by Australia’s famous orchid species — the Vanda. The design captures the soft color transition of orchid petals through a gradient of blue sapphires, and features rare round Keshi pearls as delicate accents.
Autore is renowned for its expertise in pearl cultivation and pearl jewelry craftsmanship. This piece is set with 44 saltwater Keshi pearls, all sourced from the Broome oyster farms in Western Australia. Unlike typical cultured pearls, Keshi pearls contain no nucleus and form naturally by chance within the oyster, making symmetrical shapes exceptionally rare. Autore carefully selected round and lustrous pearls, artfully set in varying heights among the petals to create a harmonious natural rhythm.
To recreate the Vanda orchid’s gradient tones, the designer used 7,000 gemstones to achieve a transition from deep blue to pure white. The outer edges of the petals are set with dark sapphires, the centers with lighter blue stones, while the white stamens are pavé-set with diamonds. Alongside the small gemstones, Autore incorporated uncut sapphire crystals to enhance the intensity of the blue hue, their irregular shapes echoing the organic beauty of the Keshi pearls.
